A number of changes have been made to Feedrabbit in October 2026.
Account
- Changing email address: free accounts can now change their email address by adding and confirming
the new address, then using Make Primary & Move Subscriptions.
- Sub-addresses: sub-addresses are no longer treated as special and count as an email address. Free
accounts that already deliver subscriptions to a sub-address have been grandfathered and those subscriptions will
continue being delivered as configured.
- Delete your account: you can now delete your Feedrabbit account yourself from the
Account page without contacting support.
Subscriptions
- Disabling subscriptions: subscriptions can no longer be disabled. If you no longer want a
subscription, please unsubscribe instead. Subscriptions that are currently disabled can still be re-enabled from the
subscription page. Subscriptions left disabled will be automatically deleted in the next few weeks.
- Images in emails: large images from some blogs, especially WordPress blogs with image captions,
were displayed wider than the email instead of scaling to fit and some were stretched out of proportion. Images now
scale down to fit the email and keep their proportions.
Fetching
- Fetching for inactive feeds: feeds used only by free accounts that haven't updated for more than
7 days will now slow down gradually, adding another 3 hours to the fetch interval for each month without an update,
up to once a day for feeds that haven't updated in 6 months. As soon as a feed publishes something new it goes
straight back to being fetched every 3 hours. Premium accounts remain fetching every 60 minutes or quicker when the
feed allows it.
- Slow feeds: a feed now needs to finish downloading within 15 seconds.
There have been several smaller, less noticeable fixes and other behind the scenes improvements.
